A shiny new ruby framework
Happy performance review season to all who celebrate.
I've been kicking around BrutRB in an attempt to remember anything other than Javascript. I like the idea of fewer abstractions. The DC Metro styling is fun and nostalgic, very human. The maintainer also created an ai declaration policy. I can fully get on board with that.
One thing sticks out so far -- As someone who started out writing HTML in a plain notepad, I can't say that I love Phlex (I may have gasped in horror at the alien syntax at first), but I do like the structural safety and, well, I just like ruby.
It's not a silver bullet though - I need to integrate UGC portable text. Found this in the Loofah docs - I love a good example, and this one made me laugh:

Grateful for people who inject a little whimsy into their work, even if it's just XML sanitization.
